In November 2017, Castor was awarded certification in the field of Information Security (ISO 27001 – Standards for Information Security Assurance), the standard that describes how Information Security should be organised in a process-based manner in the context of the general business risks for the organisation.
Information Security continues to play an increasing role in international organisations, due to increasing external risks. At Castor, we have implemented a range of compliant information security procedures related to the processing of highly sensitive information to ensure that the data of our customers and medical data is protected in a standardised way.
An independent auditor assessed Castor very positively, without a single deviation. Castor complies with the international standard for securing information systems.
Castor is also NEN 7510 (Dutch Standardisation Institute) certified. This is the Dutch Standard for Healthcare Information Security and certifies that Castor handles medical research data with the utmost care, security and responsibility.
