Castor Academy (academy.castoredc.com) is our eLearning platform. We created the Castor Academy to help our users get started with our products, learn their features, and enhance their proficiency in using Castor products.

What is Castor Academy?

The Castor Academy contains a series of eLearning courses with step-by-step instructions for each selected Castor product and its features.
 

What can you learn?

EDC-CDMS

These courses mainly contain a series of tutorials with step-by-step instructions for CDMS selected features. These courses are certified. They have enforcement of lecture order, tutorials and graded quizzes completion.

• Getting started with Castor: during this course, students learn how to register an account, set up two-factor authentication, and select a server - all the essentials needed to get started with Castor EDC. Next to this learning program, there is a single module focusing on: 
  
  • Setting up two-factor authentication.
• Study building and management: this course is suitable for study admins and study builders. Students learn how to create a study in Castor from scratch. This course also teaches how to manage the study after it is launched. 
• Data entry: here the learners get knowledge and practical experience on how to enter data in Castor forms in the most effective way. Other topics such as sending surveys and exporting data are also covered in this course. Next to this learning program, there are single modules focusing on:
  
  • Surveys and survey packages
  • Exporting and importing data
• Monitoring: in this course learners find out more on the key features of the monitoring module in Castor, including how to work with queries, reviewing important safety data, and performing source data verification.
• Advanced features: in this course, students learn about advanced calculations, data encryption, API usage, and data analysis.
   

eConsent

The two curriculums for:

• Admin role with Certification
• Investigator roles with Certification

The courses are built out of set of tutorials, which are step-by-step instructions showing and explaining the features of the system and the Quiz.

Next to these courses there are two single modules:

• eConsent - Study settings - withdrawal of a study participant
• eConsent - withdrawal of a study participant

Castor Connect

Two courses guiding site personnel and study teams through the Castor Connect app and required EDC settings:

• Castor Connect training (Certification) - This course shows how to configure a survey package for use in the Castor Connect app, invite a participant to use the app from within the CDMS and manage their surveys. This course is built out of set of tutorials, which are step-by-step instructions showing and explaining the features of the app and EDC settings, and the Quiz.
• Castor Connect training from a study participant's perspective - This is a single tutorial intended to show the steps of using the Castor Connect app during the participant's time in the study. This training is for sites, monitors and the Study Team, to understand a study participant's perspective when using the Castor Connect app. In this tutorial, we focus on the steps, that a study participant takes in the app once the activation is completed.

How can you start learning?
