Important notification
In the beginning of next year, the term ‘subject’ will be replaced with ‘participant’ throughout the user interface in order to be more aligned with the terms used in our industry.
New features and enhancements
Assign multiple forms
It is now possible to assign multiple forms in one action to the participant. This enhances the process when multiple forms need to be reviewed and signed to obtain consent, for example both a consent form and a privacy statement. From the participant side, clear indications of pending tasks for each document will be available.
The following places are impacted:
- Study team members are now able to assign more than 1 form when creating a new subject record
- Study team members are now able to assign more than 1 form to an existing subject record
- The default study/ICF invite email bodies have gone through some improvements to support the multiple forms use case better.
- A signing progress bar is added to the 'Documents' tab of the participant facing screen to keep better track of the signing status when more than 1 form has to be signed.
Organization admin
An organization admin role is added to make it easier to manage studies within your organization. While all other roles in eConsent are tied to one specific study, this role is set on an organization level and allows to create and manage studies for an organization.
Changes have been made in the following areas:
- Study team members with an organization admin role can create studies for an organization by using the ‘Create new study’ button on the study overview page
- In case the study team member is an organization admin for multiple organizations, the study team member can choose the organization that is associated with the study.
- Study team members with an organization admin role can view all studies from their organization(s) and access them with permissions identical to the study admin role.
- Within the study overview, users can now use a search bar to find a study.
Improved mobile experience for participants
As the use of mobile devices is increasing in various steps of the consenting process, we put in this release some focus around the participant user experience on such devices. Various improvements, changes and fixes are implemented to ensure a seamless consenting experience on mobile devices. The affected screens are:
- Registration screen
- Study invite screen
- Study profile screen
- Dashboard screen
Other enhancements
Study team members can now search on the first name, last name or both within the subject overview. The search term has to be a full match due to encryption of our data.
Draft electronic ICF templates can be previewed in a PDF (print preview) format.
General styling enhancements on the participant facing Documents screen are implemented.
