Export queries in CDMS

In Castor CDMS, the Monitoring module allows monitors to create data queries whenever they identify potential issues or inconsistencies in study field values. You can export these queries either directly from the Queries listing or as part of the Participant Data export.
File types
Queries can be exported from Castor CDMS in the following formats:
- CSV
- Excel
File contents
The following columns are present in the Queries export file:
Participant Id | The ID (Identifier) of the participant |
Site | The full site name |
Field Variable name / label | The variable name of the field the query relates to. If there is no variable name present, the label is used. |
Location | The location where the field is located within the study structure, in the format: Visit/Repeating Data Instance name > Form name > Field name |
Creation date (DD-MM-YYYY) | The date when the query was first raised |
Created by / User | The name of the user who raised the query |
Last updated by / User | The name of the user who most recently updated the query |
Last status | The most recent status of the query |
Last remark / comment | The most recent remark/comment added to the query |
First remark / comment | The first remark/comment added to the query |
Query age | The number of days since the query was created |
Time to resolve | The number of days taken to resolve the query (if it has been resolved) |
Requesting an export
Queries can be exported separately from the the Queries page, but can be added as part of the Participant Data export as well.
Requesting an export via the Queries page
Users with Export rights can export the queries overview in bulk, either by exporting all available queries or only the ones that the user has selected or filtered. To export the queries from the Monitoring tab, and Queries sub-tab, follow the steps below:
- Navigate to the Queries page (Monitoring → Queries).
- Click the Actions button.
- Choose one of the following export options:
- Export all
- Export all filtered
- Export selected
- In the Queries export dialog window, specify:
- Export type: Select CSV or Excel.
- Export tree: Choose whether you want to export queries for the entire study, specific study visits or forms, or repeating data.
- Click the Export button to request the file.
Requesting an export via the Participants page
It is also possible to include query data as part of the Participant Data export. For more details, refer to the How to export Participant Data page.
