In Castor CDMS, you can design, build, and test your electronic Case Report Forms (eCRFs) completely free of charge. Fees and licensing only apply when activating a study to collect live production data, depending on your organization and sponsorship.

Account Registration: Creating a Castor account is always free.

2. When Going Live is Covered (No Direct Cost to You)

Institutional Subscriptions / Site Licenses:
If your university, hospital, or research institute holds an active enterprise Castor subscription, your study may be fully covered under your institution's agreement. You will need your organization's internal billing code to set your study live.

Castor for Impact (Qualifying Academic / Non-Profit Research):
Castor supports eligible academic researchers and non-profit global health initiatives through our Castor for Impact program. Inquiries can be submitted via the contact form on our website.
3. When Fees Apply
A paid license or commercial contract is required when setting a study to "Live" (production data collection) if:
- Your study is sponsored by a commercial entity (e.g., pharmaceutical, biotech, or medical device company).
- Your academic institution does not have a site-wide license covering your project.
