If a study is missing from your My Studies overview, work through these common causes in order:
1. You are signed into the wrong server
Castor operates on multiple independent regional servers. A study appears only on the server where it was created. Logging into a different server—even with valid credentials—will result in an empty or incomplete list.
- How to check: Review your original study invitation email or ask your study admin to confirm which server hosts your study. Compare that address with the URL of your current login page.
- How to fix: If the server addresses do not match, sign out and log into the correct regional server.
-
Castor Server URLs:
- https://data.castoredc.com/ means that you are logged in and will be creating the study on the server located in the Netherlands
- https://uk.castoredc.com/ corresponds to the server in the United Kingdom
- https://us.castoredc.com/ corresponds to the server in the United States
- https://au.castoredc.com/ corresponds to the server in Australia
2. You are signed in with a different account
Studies are tied to specific email addresses. If you have multiple Castor accounts (for example, using different work or personal email addresses), you will only see studies assigned to your active account.
- How to check: Check the email address currently displayed in your account profile.
- How to fix: If you are signed into the wrong account, sign out and log in using the email address to which the study invitation was sent.
3. The study has been archived
Study admins can archive studies, and Castor automatically archives studies that have been inactive for an extended period. Archived studies are hidden from the standard overview by default.
- How to check: Click Filters and check the box for Show Archived. Archived studies will appear with an Archived label.
-
How to fix:
- Participants/Users: If you need access to an archived study, click the context menu (
...) next to the study name to contact the study admin. If the study was automatically archived due to inactivity, contact Castor Support. - Study Admins: You can unarchive a study directly from the study's context menu (
...).
Still can't find your study?
- Contact your Study Admin: Confirm that your user account has been added to the study and verify the exact email address used for the invitation.
-
Contact Support: If you still cannot locate the study, submit a support request. Be sure to include:
- Your login email addres
- The server URL you are trying to access
- The name or ID of the missing study
